Webinar: Real-World Strategies: Assessing for ACEs and Brief Interventions in an Integrated Care Environment

The Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study, conducted by the CDC and Kaiser Permanente, demonstrated a strong connection between ACEs, and physical and behavioral health conditions. A similar study was done in Canada with the same results. Integrated and primary care settings are well suited to screen, prevent and treat trauma. However, there are barriers that prevent trauma screening and brief intervention from happening in these settings.

Join international experts from the SAMHSA-HRSA Center for Integrated Health Solutions and the Collaborative Family Healthcare Association for a live webinar that will equip providers and other healthcare professionals with quick, easy-to-use strategies to promote patient resiliency and implement organizational strategies to build a trauma-informed culture. Using these interventions within a trauma-informed integrated care culture can truly optimize patient health outcomes.

After this webinar, participants will:

  • Review the relevance of adverse childhood experiences in integrated care settings;
  • Learn best practices for brief assessment and intervention related to adverse childhood experiences relevant to integrated care settings;
  • Understand keys to implementation of screening and intervention for adverse childhood experiences, including leadership buy-in and culture change.
