I am really excited to chat with educator, therapist, and leader in the Los Angeles and Arizona Resilience Movement, Andi Fetzner, M.S.!a Andi and I will be discussing the landmark Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) study and the direct link based on the severity of childhood adversity to adult physical illness, emotional/mental health issues and relationship issues.
Just to be clear, your ACE score does not have to become your destiny. There are proven interventions that can mitigate or even eliminate the many challenges that can come up with high ACE scores, no matter how old you are, your ACE score, or your resources.
During the show we will show you how to calculate your ACE score, identify adult health risk factors, and, most importantly, discuss what you can do to increase resilience,heal existing ACEs related issues, prevent future ACEs and live a fulfilling and meaningful life.
Andi Fetzner, MS is the founder of Origins Training and a therapist specializing in working with children and families at Roots & Wings. She is the Community Manager of ACEs Connection for the Los Angeles and Arizona communities and is the co-chair of the Trauma Informed Taskforce of LA. Andi's goal is to inspire compassion and connection within communities through educating on Trauma Informed and Resilience practices. She enjoys serving communities as an educator, therapist, and leader in this social justice movement.
