"Yoga + Mindfulness to Support Psychotherapy" with Simiya Sudduth, Julie Johnson, Alicia Delaney, Jessie Kissinger, and Joy Page.
This 45-60 minute info session will be about the basics of trauma-sensitive yoga. The discussion will include evidence-based research, an intro to classes and teachers that apply these approaches and their online classes, and a short online chair yoga sequence using invitational language.
Yoga is a practice that can be used to support Psychotherapy and Other Wellness Practices for clients that could benefit from a mind-body approach to healing from interpersonal and systemic trauma and harm caused to marginalized communities. This information is for Yoga Teachers & Students, Mindfulness teachers Therapists, Healers, Counselors, Life Coaches and Human Service Providers.
