Early life experiences are the foundational building blocks for development, learning, and health throughout a person’s lifetime. Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) can have long-term effects on adults’ health and well-being. They can even have consequences that affect entire families, communities, and our whole society. But there is hope and resilience is the key. Resilience can be developed in people of all ages, and luckily there are many methods that can be applied to do it. Trauma-informed environments encourage resilience in children, caregivers, and providers.
