The School of Public and Global Affairs presents seminars that explore topics addressing issues for employees in public sectors including government, law enforcement, security and emergency response, nonprofit leadership, healthcare management, and transportation and public services.
THREE 4-WEEK SEMINARS On Site and Off Campus Classes Held in Essex County (Location To Be Announced) Classes held on Wednesdays 12:00-3:00 pm EST
• CUSTOMER SERVICE: ENGAGING THE PUBLIC - September 8, 15, 22, 29 Learn to communicate effectively with the public and implement the “user experience” for residents when interacting with public officials and agencies.
• EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATIONS - October 6, 13, 20, 27 Enhance skills of communication, public speaking and writing.
• RESILIENCY TRAINING November 3, 10, 17, 24 Understand and learn more about stressful and traumatic events and how to cope and coach others.
Participants receive a Certificate upon completion. $375.00 USD per seminar. Students who complete all three seminars can receive 3 graduate credits.
