About this Event
The Child Mind Institute Summit on Telehealth and the Coronavirus follows the publication of our 2020 Children’s Mental Health Report. This thought-provoking discussion featuring Child Mind Institute President Dr. Harold S. Koplewicz and California Surgeon General Dr. Nadine Burke Harris will explore the mental health impacts of the pandemic on youth and families, and how innovative treatment solutions can improve access and outcomes. The event will unpack the recent Child Mind Institute Children’s Mental Health Report on telehealth, featuring results from a recent survey of parents whose children have mental health concerns. Children face even more barriers than adults when it comes to obtaining mental health care — especially children in rural, marginalized and low socioeconomic status communities. Is telehealth the answer?
This hourlong event will be moderated by NBC News’ Stephanie Ruhle.
