October is Domestic Violence Awareness
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and while the unfortunate truth is that domestic violence occurs all year-round, this month offers us the opportunity to continue to engage others about the social, emotional and economic impact domestic violence has on individuals, families and communities. Most if not all perpetrators experienced unsupportive and harmful parenting. There are several basics of parenting that if not followed contribute to the formation of a narcissistic personality. 1. Support children's healthy development by not excusing or making excuses for their poor behavior. 2. Support children's healthy development by allowing them to experience the logical consequences of their actions...if it's safe. 3. Support children's healthy development by not lying for them. 4.
