PACEs in Youth Justice

Discussion of Transition and Reentry issues of out of home (treatment, detention, sheltered, etc.) youth back to their families and communities. Frequently these youth have fallen behind in their schooling, have reduced motivation, and lack skills to navigate requirements to successfully re-enter school programs or even to move ahead with their dreams.

Thanks Andi for sharing your thoughts. Our incarcerated youth absolutely need our juvenile systems to support their healing in addition to supporting their families with resources and access to care.

Trauma informed juvenile justice systems are absolutely imperative with re-entry to the home and neighborhoods our youth are growing up in as well as fostering resilience communities where families feel safe and across the lifespan, can thrive.
