Stress and self-esteem in adolescence predict physical activity and sedentary behavior in adulthood

 

Using data from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health, a newly-published study in the journal Mental Health and Physical Activity examines how long term exposure to stress correlates with the level of exercise in adulthood.  The study also examines the association of higher self esteem and physical activity, and the role that stress and self esteem play in adult obesity.
