New Position Paper Released Ahead of Upcoming Trauma-Informed Training: A Strategic Imperative for Individual and Community Wellbeing and Sustainable Peace and Justice

 

The Peace and Justice Institute's Resilience Network is hosting a training on Florida's mandated trauma informed care day to impact the future of healthcare in Central Florida.



Workshop Date: Friday, November 1, 2024 *

Workshop Title: Why Being Trauma Informed Matters

Description: This workshop will provide practical steps for implementing a trauma-informed, salutogenic approach in the healthcare sector, leading to better health outcomes and increased wellbeing for individuals throughout our region.

This workshop builds upon our previous session, "Why Positive and Adverse Childhood Experiences (PACEs) Matter” which has been facilitated for over 10,000 individuals in our region. It will provide practical steps for implementing a trauma-informed, salutogenic approach in the healthcare sector, leading to better health outcomes and increased wellbeing for individuals throughout our region.

Audience: Those with a vested interest in the healthcare system, executive leaders, and decision-makers (healthcare providers, healthcare facilities, public health agencies, community health organizations, healthcare support services, healthcare researchers, free and charitable clinics)

Hosted by the Peace and Justice Institute's Resilience Network, a network in Central Florida collaborating across sectors & communities to transform our region into one of prevention, hope, healing, and resilience for all.
