EDUCATOR SEXUAL MISCONDUCT: KEEPING OUR CHILDREN SAFE IN SCHOOL (CAC)

Andrea Vaughan will discuss the prevalence of educator sexual misconduct. Incorporating parts of her own story of surviving abuse at the hands of her middle school teacher, she will illustrate common methods predatory educators utilize to groom their victims. This training session will also discuss helpful prevention policies and opportunities for growth in the community to ensure our children are safe within their school districts.

Participants will:
• Understand the prevalence of educator sexual misconduct
• Recognize warning signs and red flag behaviors of predatory educators
• Be able to self-reflect on the existing safety policies within their school communities and examine opportunities for growth
• Understand available resources for additional assistance
• Q & A with Andrea Vaughan
