Childhood trauma is the result of an event or a series of events which cause a child to feel helpless and pushed beyond their ability to cope. Trauma affects children differently depending on their age, personality, and past experiences. When a child is traumatized it affects the whole child: their mind, body, spirit, and relationships with others.
