The open conversation model used by the Miss Kendra Program is core to its trauma-centered approach. Open conversation is a courageous way to get to the heart of an issue, boldly and honestly naming difficult truths and validating lived experience.
At the February Ask Every Child Webinar, Chief Program Officer Cat Davis and the Directorate team, Erinn Webb and Kat Lee, will lead an experiential workshop on Miss Kendra Time and the use of open conversation to create space for collective healing in schools.
The session will begin with a mini-seminar on techniques of the open conversation model, followed by experiential learning via grown-up Miss Kendra Time. Come prepared to share thoughts, feelings, and experiences of your learning community this year, listen to others and connect with the broader national Miss Kendra
