Hi Margaret,

I'm assuming you're looking for Trauma-Informed policies as it relates to Criminal Justice. There have been some Crim. Jus. posts in the ACEsConnection.com/Blog, that I've seen, which may have links in the Blog to the story post, such as the Trauma-Informed programming in the Hawaii Women's Prison. The California [Men's] Honor Prison in Los Angeles utilized Trauma-Informed programming, while it was operational. I don't know if it still is. Prisoners there, voluntarily renounce any gang-membership, commit to non-violence, etc., to enter that program.

The SPSCOT (State Personnel Systems Coalition on Trauma) listserve [membership is by "invitation"-and I'd be happy to "invite" you if you think that would also be of help to you.], circulates a number of assorted trauma-informed policies, which may also be help to you. The National Center for Trauma-Informed Care, (NCTIC) and/or Community Connections-in Washington, D.C., may also have helpful resources on their web sites.

ACEsConnection member Chaplain Chris Haughee, has written some Faith-Based posts, addressing many issues applicable to Children's and Juvenile [and adult] programs.

One retired Family Court Judge, from Illinois, wrote an item, on the need for Trauma-Informed programming in Family Court, which was probably just as applicable to Juvenile and adult Criminal courts.

I will check the PILOTS (Published International Literature On Traumatic Stress) database User's Guide from the NCPTSD (National Center for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder [part of the VA]) Library, and write a follow-up note, if I find something in their PILOTS Database User's Guide, that looks like it may also be helpful.
