The Attachment & Trauma Network, Inc. (ATN) announces the launching of Team R&R - an online community for educators and other child-serving professionals on the journey of being trauma-informed and resilience-building.
The community focuses on R&R...being regulated & relational...as cornerstone qualities in being trauma-informed, healing-focused and resilience-building. The community's two big focuses are on providing exclusive content and peer-led connection and interaction.
"We recognize that becoming trauma-informed is a journey...a way of being...not a method you quickly learn and apply," explains Ginger Healy, LCSW, ATN's Program Director. "Educators who attend our conference often report that once they're back at their schools, full of ideas and enthusiasm, it can quickly wane. Team R&R is all about creating a safe space to be seen, heard and valued...and to encourage each of us in this challenging and very important work."
Webinars, masterclasses, Q&As with experts are all planned throughout the year. Team R&R's first event...the book discussion of Atlas of the Heart by Brené Brown, kicks off on Monday, May 9.
"Starting with Atlas of the Heart is a great way for our community to share a common language and get to know each other," Healy notes. " In fact, we're inviting members to have the book, of course, but not necessarily read huge chucks. We know it's a very busy time of year for teachers. We want everything that happens in Team R&R to be easy for members, and really help them feel regulated and connected. We don't want to add to our already frenetic workloads. Right now is such a challenging time to be an educator."
The community will have specific open enrollment windows. The founding member enrollment period is now through May 31. Membership is individual, month-to-month and designed to be very affordable. There is an option for schools and organizations to purchase memberships for their employees, priced as 10-month memberships with the summers for free.
