Location: National (with preferences in Mid-Atlantic, Georgia, CA, WA, CO)
We will be hiring up to 5 content managers from this position.

JOB SUMMARY
The Content Manager is responsible for designing and delivering technical assistance and professional development and developing and sharing resources to schools that participate in the national Resilience in School Environments (RISE) Initiative in partnership with Kaiser Permanente. The incumbent will work to help empower schools to create a safe and supportive environment by developing policies and practices focused on improving the social and emotional health of all students and staff.
Responsibilities include supporting schools as they work towards creating resilient environments consistent with best practices via virtual and onsite training and technical assistance. The content manager is also responsible for coordinating the development of new tools and resources while working to enhance those that exist. The content manager will coordinate the roll out, utilization and tracking of efforts across the initiative, both in schools and virtually and in collaboration with other Healthier Generation initiatives and departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain relationships with key local and regional organizations that have the potential to positively impact the social emotional health of students and staff in schools
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support schools and districts in implementing evidence based practices for social and emotional health including restorative practices, social and emotional learning, staff resilience, trauma informed practices,mental health referral pathways, multi-tiered systems of support, integration and implementation of social emotional health efforts
- Develop, design, manage and deliver professional development and technical assistance specific to participants in urban, suburban and rural areas.
- Assist in the identification, analysis, and development of resources and materials to promote and facilitate implementation of the social emotional health best practices supported by Healthier Generation.
- Develop and deliver virtual trainings that foster broad reach and impact among participating schools and districts in the areas of social emotional health.
- Collaborate with RISE program managers to support schools in creating change within their school environments and to identify sites with exemplary social emotional health efforts.
- Report progress and results through formal and informal reporting procedures.
- Analyze school, district, and regional-level data to determine gaps and identify approiate technical assisntance/professional development to close those gaps.
- Analyze regional data to support Healthier Generation’s continuous improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Broad knowledge of evidence-based practices for social emotional health in at least one of the following:
- Trauma-informed care
- Social and Emotional Learning
- Staff well-being
- Alternatives to exclusionary discipline (e.g. restorative practices)
- Integrating school-mental health principles into Multi-tiered systems of supports
- Experience supporting school or district level initiatives in implementing and developing quality improvement programs.
- Familiarity with current trends impacting the social emotional health landscape
- Demonstrated experience in creating and leading hands-on evidence-based professional development for groups of various sizes.
- Ability to digest technical information and translate research into practical steps for implementation.
- Ability to clearly and effectively convey information verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences.
- Skillfully uses state-of-the-art resources and employs technology to assist in work activities.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a virtual team environment
- Ability to proactively manage multiple work tasks in a timely manner
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Product Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in education, educational leadership or related field required. Master’s degree preferred
- At least 5 years experience in K-12 education in a variety of settings (urban, rural, and/or suburban.), including experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Trauma-informed care
- Social and Emotional Learning
- Staff well-being
- Alternatives to exclusionary discipline (e.g. restorative practices)
- Integrating school-mental health principles into Multi-tiered systems of supports
- Experience in creating and leading training and professional development and empowering others to provide training and technical assistance
