Trauma informed education in juvenile justice settings

Jane Stevens contacted me about posting our presentation delivered at the correctional educators conference this last spring.

We have been delivering online professional development to all of the educators in the Ohio Juvenile Justice setting in order to help them move to a more trauma informed educational system.

We offered our course supporting and educating traumatized students adapted for their setting. This year we are adding a second course on trauma, motivation and engagement and creating a train the trainer session so that their educators can add specialized content.
