A valuable lesson our team learned last year is that the school's loved it when we showed up, but we became the crisis team to deal with issues that were happening during our time in the building. We learned that we were taking ownership and leadership away from the principal and the intervention specialist as they walked away. We now are working and developing a train the trainer model and won't go into a school unless the principal takes...

I have worked with a number of schools in South Dakota as an ACEs trainer, but I need additional training in strategies, practices, systems etc. There is no budget to bring in trainers to our state, so I am looking for something that I can sign up for, and attend to help increase my capacity to support schools and teachers. I did see that Saint A offers "train the trainer" tracks, which would be an option. Any other options out there? Any ideas? thanks so much! Pat

Ki would strongly suggest Social. Work or School Social Work. A MSSW is a very flexible degree opening doors to community work, counseling, therapy, public service, program management and development, etc (social workers are systems thinkers)
