Re: Has anyone surveyed teacher attitudes about trauma-informed care as a way to collect some baseline data?

Nellie Pearson ·
No, I haven't but as we prepare to start a new school year, I would be very interested in seeing what kind of tool others would be using or in working with others to develop a tool. Thanks for putting this question out there.I will keep watching responses. Nellie

How Can We Make South Florida Schools Trauma Informed?

Natalia Garceau ·
Let's Make South Florida Schools Trauma Informed by Endorsing TIS Leaders! This is Natalia Garceau from Broward County, FL. Last February, in Washington, DC, l met so many wonderful, caring educators from all over the United States and abroad at the first ATN Conference for Creating Trauma-Sensitive Schools. I provide resources for Southern...

Hi, Tracy! I'm sorry to say, but I have been unsuccessful. I keep telling myself it must be out there somewhere..... If I develop something, I will happily share it with you. I signed up for a course with The Center for Adolescent Studies so maybe I will get some help from them. Either way, I'll let you know when I find or develop something. Thank you!

There are many things you could do in leadership, social and emotional learning, mindfulness, positive self talk, decision making activities and team building activities. I use these in my classroom.

We will launch the contest before the end of June and would appreciate more feedback regarding the educational resources about resilience that we are sharing with the participants. Some Background When we launch a game design challenge we try and provide as much helpful information to game developers who will participate. We do this so that the...
