Hello! Does anyone know of someone my district could bring in for a professional development session on ACES in education? We are located near Allentown, PA. We are interested in someone who could speak to all levels, k-12, but it wouldn't have to be all at once, and we have funding available from a grant. Thank you!

Hi Amber,
A teacher colleague of mine and I, a family doctor, have presented about ACEs, Resilience and Trauma-Informed Approaches to the entire West Shore School District (near Harrisburg) professional staff, along with the film Resilience, which you would have to get through Tugg (or you could use Paper Tigers, also from Tugg). It was a 3 hour program and was very well received. I would be happy to discuss further with you. We have also presented summer professional development seminars to West Shore teachers and others, and to PSEA conferences that include school nurses, counselors, dental hygienists, etc. I have presented to family physicians. Please sent me a private message if interested. Ellen Smith
Good Morning,
I run a small nonprofit that specializes in building resilient schools and communities. The work is centered around providing PD for trauma along with job-embedded PD related to trauma informed, resilience building practices. I would be happy to talk to you about what you are looking for and how we might help. DaveBrown@EchoDevelopment.org
