ACEs Aware Seeking Applicants to Support Clinical Work

ACEs Aware, led by the Office of the California Surgeon General (CA-OSG) and the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), is hiring for three new positions to further the mission of supporting Medi-Cal providers across California with training, clinical protocols, and payment for screening children and adults for Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

ACEs Aware Clinical Advisor
Part Time | Contract Position | Remote
The ACEs Aware clinical advisor will be responsible for providing clinical expertise and support for the ACEs Aware initiative team as they execute various aspects of the program, including advising CA-OSG, DHCS, and the ACEs Aware team on statewide implementation of ACE screening and clinical response; acting as a subject matter expert in the health implications of ACEs and toxic stress for the ACEs Aware initiative; supporting the ACEs Aware team by reviewing and advising on the scientific vetting, evidence base and references for scientific information in initiative materials and work products; and advising on provider engagement activities, including webinar and video content on topics and speakers of interest to implementing clinicians.

ACEs Aware Clinical Research Associate
Full Time | Contract Position | Remote
The ACEs Aware clinical research associate will be responsible for providing research support for the ACEs Aware initiative team as they execute various aspects of the program.
Responsibilities include reviewing literature and identifying relevant research to inform the initiative; supporting development of materials to help Medi-Cal providers in implementing ACE screening and response in clinical practice; supporting work with professional associations in the development of learning collaboratives, trainings, and journal supplements; and acting as a subject matter expert in the health implications of ACEs and toxic stress for the ACEs Aware initiative.

ACEs Aware Science Liaison
Full Time | Contract Position | Remote
Embedded in the ACEs Aware team at Aurrera Health Group, the science liaison will be responsible for facilitating clinical input and review of initiative activities and work products. This will include working closely with the ACEs Aware Trauma-Informed Primary Care Implementation Advisory Committee and Subcommittees to engage their members in the development and review of ACEs Aware strategic planning and work products, including clinical tools, operational guide, and electronic health record workflows; monthly provider engagement webinar and video content, agendas, and speakers; clinical guidelines and white papers; and other communications materials.
