Tulare County leaders approved a $1.38 billion budget that significantly increases spending on public safety, infrastructure and county employee healthcare plans.
"The adopted $1.38 billion budget demonstrates Tulare County's sound financial position due to the Board's fiscal policies to maintain feasible and sustainable operations while providing mandated and essential services," said Chief Administrative Officer Jason Britt.
The 2019-2020 county budget is a door-stopping, 421-page document that allows critical government agencies, from social services to firefighters to public waste to provide essential services to residents every day.
