Jasmine is finishing up her Masters of Public Health at San Jose State University. Over the past two years, she has worked as a Program Coordinator and Health Advisor for Stanford University’s and Stanford Hospital’s employee wellness program. Previously, she worked in several different positions for the Women Infant and Children (WIC) program. She taught low socioeconomic mothers nutrition, breastfeeding, and infant feeding classes in addition to traveling to Washington D.C to do legislative visits advocating policy on behalf of disadvantaged women and their families.

Joanna is a doctoral student studying social psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Her research looks at risk factors in a child or adult’s environment that may make them more likely to be arrested or incarcerated. She also teaches courses on Research Methods and Psychology and the Law.
Who should join “Young Professionals in ACEs”?
This group aims to connect people under the age of 35, working on issues relating to adverse childhood experiences. These may be practitioners, researchers, teachers, students, or anyone else who thinks this group may be helpful to them. And if you’re over 35--you’re welcome as well!

How can I use this group?
Young Professionals in ACEs is group for networking with other young professionals working on ACEs. It is a place where you can share information about career development opportunities, internships, jobs, and volunteer opportunities and a place to find out more about educational opportunities that will help prepare you for a career working on ACEs. It is also a place to receive support and advise. Afraid that you won’t find a job after graduation? And advise on which fields are hiring? This is the place to ask!
