Understanding ACEs in Youth Program Settings
Do you know how child abuse, neglect, domestic violence, and other traumatic stressors are affecting the youth you work with?
The Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study is one of the largest investigations ever conducted to assess associations between childhood maltreatment and later-life health and well-being. What we do can make a difference in preventing some of these long-term problems and promoting resiliency and well-being in youth affected by trauma.
Join us and learn more about brain development, how the brain is impacted by ACEs/toxic stress, and how to promote resiliency.
NOTE: This is a half-day training - from 8am - 11am.
Sponsored by: Anchorage Youth Development Coalition, which is committed to providing high quality, professional training to the Anchorage community. We promote research-based training led by expert instructors. Through training AYDC strives to promote best practices in the youth development field to help build a stronger and more resilient youth community in Anchorage.
