Alaska Federal Health Care Partnership will be hosting a workshop focused on the impacts of addictive behaviors and childhood trauma on suicide.
Dr. Donald Warne comes from a long line of traditional Lakota healers. Dr.
Warne holds an MD from Stanford University and a Master of Public Health
from Harvard University. He is also a Diplomate of both the American Board of
Family Practice and the American Board of Medical Acupuncture.
Dr. Warne is currently on the faculty of the Arizona State University College of Law, where he teaches classes on American Indian Health Law and Policy. He also works with the Indian Legal Program, and is the chair of the Traditional Cultural Advocacy Committee at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center.
Recognized internationally as one of the most popular speakers on Native American health issues, Dr. Warne strongly believes that the health of the community determines the health of the individual. With that belief in mind, he started AIHMP to provide a comprehensive approach to improving healthcare in Indian Country.
