The next ACEs Workgroup meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. Jan. 9 at AFMC, 1020 W. 4th St., #300, Little Rock. Our guest speaker will be Laura Abbott, a high school health teacher and victim's rights advocate. She will present on how she talks about ACEs and trauma with her students.

New Video: Trauma-Informed Health Communications for Teens
Rescue Agency, an organization that bills itself as a behavior change marketing company, recently released a video that "explores data from the first study on ACEs and peer crowd identification among teens to understand the relationship between these two critical factors and explore how to incorporate this science into messaging." It's a thought-provoking look at how to create health messages for teens that show how health behaviors fit into their lives.
New Trauma-Informed Book Club
KPJR Films, makers of the documentaries "Resilience" and "Paper Tigers," is hosting a trauma-informed book club for 2019. KPJR will host live tweet ups with authors and online conversations throughout the year. You can find the list of books here and register for the book club here.
