Everyone has to deal with stressful times. Sometimes dealing with hard times can cause you to feel down. REJOICE is a research study that wants to find out the best way to help people (1) recognize when they are feeling down and (2) learn skills that will help people manage low mood. We are looking for churches that are interested in participating in the REJOICE project.
Your church may be eligible to participate in REJOICE if the congregation is: 1. Predominately African American
2. Has at least 100 members
3. Is located in one of the following Arkansas Delta counties:

REJOICE (Renewed and Empowered for the Journey to Overcome in Christ Everyday) program. REJOICE is an evidence-based depression intervention for African-American adults of faith that includes lay-led small groups that meet on a regular basis and community-wide events. REJOICE is funded by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities and includes collaborators from the TRI, the UAMS colleges of Public Health, Nursing and Medicine, the Arkansas Center for Health Disparities, the Arkansas Prevention Research Center, the Mid-Delta Community Consortium, 10,000 Black Men, the Boys Girls and Adults Community Development Center, and Tri-County Rural Health Network.
