Since 2021, Benchmarks has provided consultation and implementation support on the Pathways to Permanency project for Vaya Health, a journey that has seen us navigate through crucial project phases. From the initiation phase, where objectives and stakeholders were identified, to the meticulous planning, execution, and now the sustainability phase, each step has been pivotal in shaping the project's success. As we prepare to transition from implementation support to the sustainability phase, the focus is on ensuring a seamless handover that guarantees the project's longevity beyond our consultancy period.
In the initiation phase, we laid the groundwork, defining clear objectives, understanding the project's scope, and identifying the key players involved. This was followed by an extensive planning phase, where a detailed roadmap was crafted, strategies were outlined, and responsibilities were allocated. The execution phase was characterized by the actual implementation of these strategies, with constant monitoring and adjustments to ensure alignment with the project's goals.
As we near the closure of our consultancy, our attention turns to the critical aspect of transitioning to sustainability. In a consulting role, this transition is more than a mere handover; it's about empowering our clients to internalize the best practices established during our tenure. This seamless shift ensures that the project's benefits endure beyond our involvement, fostering a culture of self-sufficiency and long-term success for our clients. To achieve this, we're focusing on knowledge transfer sessions, developing comprehensive documentation, and providing ongoing support to facilitate a smooth handover.
Looking ahead, the Pathways to Permanency project is gearing up for some exciting developments in the upcoming months. In January, the “Adventure Awaits” foster parent recruitment campaign is set to launch, aiming to bring forth new opportunities for individuals to engage in foster parenting. Additionally, several training opportunities are on the horizon such as Health Plan 101, Prudent Parenting & Normalcy, and Understanding Behaviors in Foster Care: Having Trauma Informed Expectations.
