As I sit here listening to the cardinal sing his joyous springtime song from the maple outside my writing space window, I ponder his message. These past few weeks have been a whirlwind of activity in my learning to set the notes free on my own ballad. I submitted a 50-page book proposal to Hay House Publishing for a writers' workshop contest. I created and released a Facebook book launch group and reached out one by one to my personal contacts inviting them to support my dream. This has garnered over 1,100 team members (so far!). And last week I launched my newly created website: www.teriwellbrock.com - sharing my personal story of triumph over trauma.
The feedback received so far is that the website feels "empowering", "like a hug", "easy to navigate", "informative", "calming", and "welcoming". I address ACEs in the FAQ section and intend to broaden the scope of the information offered to visitors as they begin/continue their healing journeys. If anyone has resources they would like to share, I welcome suggestions with open arms. I treasure feedback from those with exposure to ACEs, either professionally or personally. My dream is to create a space which feels safe, yet empowering; offering a hand to hold along the road of recovery.
I invite you to join my book launch team (my entire book is centered around my own adverse childhood experiences and positive lessons learned along the way). You can visit at Unicorn Shadows.
Thank you for your willingness to offer resources for my website about ACEs, trauma-informed care, trauma recovery, and any other information which can help site visitors learn to become their own heroes. Much gratitude sent for any support you are willing to offer as I move forward along my own healing journey.
Peace,
Teri
