I would love to know what you think of my new book, "Is That Me Yelling?"
In it I invite parents to be the experts on their children by learning how to become more familiar with their yelling triggers and learn ways to stay calm in the middle of a storm.
The book has temperament theory throughout, so that a parent can reflect on how the "goodness of fit" with their child may be a set up for yelling and frustration.
There is a section on what to do if your partner or spouse is the yeller, and I address the question of when yelling is abusive.
In classes, and when I do temperament counseling with parents, they frequently tell me they want to yell less, but are just to stressed to be able to stop. I feel that this book will be of real help to anyone who wants to yell less and enjoy their kids more.
You can read the first chapter free on my web site at http://www.nurserona.com/is-that-me-yelling/ and also find out about my book readings and events.
With gratitude,
Rona
