Greetings - A colleague invited me to jump in here and mention my own book as a resource for folks involved in this community. My name is Sue Badeau, I live in Philadelphia and have been involved in the Trauma community for many years including the National Child Traumatic Stress Network Advisory board for a decade and worked with Multiplying Connections locally for several years helping to develop curriculum and training. My daughter (and artist) and I have created a book entitled "Building Bridges of Hope: A Coloring Book for Adults Caring for Children Who Have Experienced Trauma" - and yes, as the title says, it is in the form of a coloring book. Each two-page spread includes one page of educational text and one page of coloring images. A photo of the cover is below as well as an attached word document with a synopsis and some of the initial reviews. Many child welfare, juvenile justice and community trauma collaborative groups (TICNs) have found this to be a valuable resource and have often purchased copies for entire groups of staff or resource parents. I consider myself a "translator" taking research-based, (ACES-informed) academic and clinical information and "translating" it into useful, concrete strategies and tools for parents, caregivers, caseworkers, teachers, counselors and others who work directly with children. There is also a companion volume, "Bubbles and Butterflies" which is for young children. I am happy to answer questions or give you more concrete information about how this has been and continues to be used across the country. Thank you.
