CUSD ACEs resolution adopted!

The Chico Unified School District adopted a resolution declaring November ACEs awareness month, and encouraging schools to participate in ACEs awareness activities during the month of November and beyond. This is a great template to be used with our other school partners.

One of our amazing ACEs Coalition members, Dave McKay, is a director at Chico Unified, and is also a tireless champion for children, ACEs and Trauma Informed Practice. He's working really hard to embed this awareness throughout the district, and we didn't want to leave out the Board of Directors! Another amazing coaltion member, Deanne Blankenship from the California Health Collaborative, worked with Dave on language, and presented at the board meeting last week on behalf of our Butte County ACEs coalition.

We are very much looking forward to witnessing how this work evolves within the school district!
