Gail Kennedy and Sue Delucchi from ACEs Connection Network presented to the CA Department of Early Education and Support Division on Monday, July 27th. The 50+ staff of CDE EES Division are monitors for state early childhood projects and state-funded preschools.
Gail presented an overview and history of the ACEs survey and CA ACEs data from a public health perspective. Sue, a retired director of a crisis nursery that she ran for 13 years, talked about some simple tools for preventing and mitigating the impacts of childhood trauma and building resilient families and kids.
We had a lively discussion after the presentation and identified a few other groups that we will be reaching out to - spreading the word about ACEs and resiliency in CA.
