You've probably noticed the new look of ACEsConnection.com, including the groups. The California ACEs in Action group looks better, too, we think. It's not as crowded as it was -- cleaner, brighter...healthier-looking, if that can be said about a social network!
And now our network's group is easy to use on any device -- mobile, table, laptop or desktop.
We'll be adding a few more resources: more news about how trauma-informed, resilience-building practices based on ACEs research are being integrated across the state; more information about what organizations and sectors are doing; and links to the organizations at which the members of this group work, so that we can have a better idea of the sectors represented, and those that we need to include.
For easy access to the news and information that appear in the blog, we've created a Top Posts Directory, which you can find in the column on the right side of the group home page.
This group has 1,614 members now, which is just terrific. I'd like to know what else you want to see in this group, so if you have any suggestions, please post them in the content section.
If you or your organization are integrating any trauma-informed, resilience-building practices -- whether it's a small change, such as starting meetings with a three-minute mindfulness exercise, or a big change, such as doing Sanctuary training, we all want to hear about it! Please post that information in the blog, or contact one of us California community facilitators to do so for you.
We are: Dana Brown (Southern California), Gail Kennedy (Northern California), Alicia St. Andrews (San Francisco Bay Area), and me, Jane Stevens.
In early 2016, we will be looking for volunteers to participate in developing news and resources for the California ACEs in Action group, so if you're interested, please send me a message through this network. Here's how.
Thanks!
