Moving Beyond Depression helps women suffering from perinatal depression [TheUnion.com]

Trainings have been completed and the Nevada County Public Health Department has begun the “Moving Beyond Depression” program, working in partnership with local home visitation programs.

This evidence-based program is a proven effective enhancement for home visiting programs, providing therapy sessions for mother’s experiencing perinatal depression (during pregnancy and up to 24 months after delivery).

The goal is to identify and engage women experiencing perinatal depression and offer an effective model for treatment.
