A Portrait of California 2021–2022: Human Development and Housing Justice, is the third publication in Measure of America's series on well-being in California. The new report provides an in-depth look at how residents are faring in three fundamental areas of life: health, access to knowledge, and standard of living. The report presents Human Development Index scores across the state for different demographic groups and explores a range of critical issues, including a focus on housing justice as well as environmental justice, residential segregation, affordable housing, the social determinants of health, and access to opportunity.
On November 10, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. PT, join us for an interactive event to discuss the report's key findings, recommendations for action, and what it will take to move toward equity to improve well-being for all Californians. This event will also be the first in a series of conversations about a positive, hopeful vision for California in 2030.
