Join us on February 25 at 10:30am for our Birth to 5 Parent Poll Briefing, where we’ll be reviewing the findings of our poll of parents and caregivers statewide and sharing next steps. Register for the webinar here.
In California, over two million children are in the first five years of their lives. These early years are crucial for children’s development – and safety, good health, and basic needs are foundational for their success. Before children even enter kindergarten, they are placed at different starting lines and experience opportunity gaps that follow them through college. These inequities in opportunity are wider for families of color and families from low-income communities. In this current reality, parents’ and young children’s well-being are even more impacted.
This month, we will be releasing the results of a new poll in collaboration with The Children’s Partnership, The Center for District Innovation and Leadership in Early Education, Early Edge California, Child360, and Advancement Project California. Our second poll of over 600 parents and caregivers of children ages birth through five will illuminate some of the impacts of the COVID-19 crisis on their child care needs, their children’s development, their family’s health and mental health, and other supports needed.
Again, register here to join us on February 25 at 10:30am for our Birth to 5 Parent Poll Briefing.
We look forward to your continued collaboration in taking action to ensure that families with young children have the support they need during this crisis and beyond.
