Prevention Institute is partnering with Community Intelligence to co-sponsor this year’s 2-day conference, focused on bringing leaders together to network and strategize about what more we can do to take collective action to uplift people of color by improving the resources, opportunities and conditions that are so critical to physical health, mental health and well-being. This is a two-day event: Day 1, October 8, 2018 will highlight speakers and topics focused on Uplifting Women and Girls of Color and Day 2, October 9, 2018, is a men’s leadership conference and will elevate speakers and topics relevant to Uplifting Men and Boys of Color. Both days of the conference will take place at The California Endowment’s LA Center for Healthy Communities.
We welcome all people who are serious about positively Uplifting People of Color and taking meaningful steps to address gaps in resources, opportunities and community conditions so that all people have the fullest opportunities to thrive. While the conference is divided into two days to enable us to take a “deeper dive” into solutions for women and men, we welcome all people irrespective of culture, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or topical interest to attend and contribute innovative ideas and good spirit to both days.
