In September 2018, CDC released “Evidence-Based Strategies for Preventing Opioid Overdose: What’s Working in the United States.” On behalf of the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Center for Faith and Opportunity Initiatives at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, we invite you to join us for a discussion on implementing these strategies for preventing opioid overdose in local communities. Community level presenters engaged in programs for harm reduction, treatment initiation and provider education will discuss their work and efforts to successfully implement their program.
