It wouldn’t be surprising if people in Texas, Louisiana and other vulnerable states are already feeling stressed. The same goes for people in the flood-prone Midwest and in California, where numerous wildfires have already broken out. Last year, a historic onslaught of 30 named storms hammered the Gulf Coast.

Successful health equity strategies must be inclusive, and focus on all marginalized and minoritized persons and their communities. Any lesser view will continue to yield a faulty health equity equation.
