Updates
Welcome to our new
Bridge Program team members!
Elgin Webb,
Research and Policy Associate
Hello!!! I was born and raised in Oakland, California and wouldn’t trade my experience of growing up in the Bay for anything! I am a graduate of Florida Memorial University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science (2013) and a graduate of California State University Long Beach with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration (2016). I have an extensive professional background in education in various capacities. Jobs working as an upward bound counselor, elementary after school program coordinator, peer college advisor and most recently a Program Coordinator for a non-profit based out of Oakland. I firmly believe that education is a crucial tool that the youth and next generation should utilize to be successful. I am also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated and a CORO Alumni. You can contact me at ewebb@rrnetwork.org or (415) 494-4664.
Gemma DiMatteo,
ACEs Connection Community Manager
Hello! My name is Gemma DiMatteo and I’m your new ACEs Connection Community Manager. Some of you might know me from my time as Research Associate at the Network from 2012-2015. I’m very excited to be back in this new capacity, working in Communications and Trauma-Informed Care. I have a BA in Psychology and a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology, and am passionate about children’s well-being - particularly low-income children - and the effects of childhood trauma, so this work in the field of ACEs feels like a perfect fit. My career has been mainly research and clinical work related to social and health policy, mental health, and child development. I’m looking forward to learning from you all, helping you connect with each other, and supporting you in this exciting new chapter. Please feel free to reach out to me at gdimatteo@rrnetwork.org or (415) 494-4649.
