The California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Injury and Violence Prevention Branch (IVPB), is releasing the Domestic Violence Prevention Program (DVP) Request for Application (RFA) 23-10059 to award up to two (2) contracts that will focus on strengthening economic security and mobility for Black women and their families. Awarded Applicants will be expected to utilize the Close to Home (C2H) community mobilization approach to conduct primary prevention, community-level strategies as a protective factor for domestic violence (DV). Prospective Applicants are required to submit a non-biding Letter of Intent (LOI) on the Applicant’s letterhead, to indicate their intent to submit an application, by August 4, 2023. LOIs should be submitted via email to DV.RFA@cdph.ca.gov with the subject line “DVP Voluntary Non-Binding Letter of Intent from XYZ Organization.” Upon electronic receipt of an Applicant’s LOI, CDPH will send all additional RFA Attachments to the Applicant within 24-hours during normal Monday-Friday business days. For example, if an LOI is emailed to CDPH at 5:00 P.M. Pacific Standard Time (PST) on a Friday, all related RFA documents will be emailed to the Applicant by 5:00 P.M. PST the following Monday. If an LOI is emailed to CDPH anytime after 5:00 P.M. PST on Friday, or on Saturday or Sunday, all related RFA documents will be emailed to the Applicant by 9:00 A.M. PST Tuesday.
