Antoinette Manuel is the Executive Director for KidsFirst Child Abuse Prevention Council of Placer County, a counseling and family resource center providing evidence based trauma informed services. Antoinette has over 10 years’ experience in program implementation, outreach, and community engagement. Prior to her work with KidsFirst, Antoinette worked for Girl Scouts Heart of Central California in their outreach and program departments. Antoinette earned her Bachelors of Arts in Sociology, and went on to obtain a Master of Education from California State University, Sacramento. Antoinette has a keen interest on the intersections of race, gender, and mental health and working with communities to remove barriers around access to services.
The California Essentials for Childhood Initiative uses a public health and collective impact approach to align and enhance collaborative efforts to promote safe, stable, nurturing relationships and environments for children, youth and families through systems, policy and social norms change.
