The Prevention Partnership International (PPI), is seeking two organizations interested in receiving training and technical assistance to implement and evaluate the Celebrating Families! (CF!) program at their site.
The CF! program is an evidence-based, trauma-informed, skill building program comprised of 16 sessions serving the whole family: children ages birth -17, their parents and caregivers. Recognizing the importance of skill building using a family-centered approach, this initiative works specifically with families dealing with or at high risk for: substance use disorders; multi-generational trauma; physical and mental health challenges; cognitive deficits due to trauma, genetics, or in-utero exposure; and safety (child abuse/neglect). The CF! program addresses these needs through building healthy living skills and psychoeducation.
This initiative is a partnership between the California Department of Social Services, Office of Child Abuse Prevention (CDSS/OCAP) and PPI to support training for agencies implementing the CF! program. The OCAP supports the family-centered and evidence-based approach this program takes on recovery and family reunification. This grant is funded under the federal Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act from March 1, 2019 and February 28, 2021.
Please read the attached RFQ announcement including submission criteria and timelines. The deadline for proposals has been extended to 5/24.
