In November, Resilient Yolo will launch a three-part virtual workshop series to educate members of the public on strategies for strengthening health and social support systems in Yolo County. To advance conversations around health and equity, the collaborative will also be hosting a Building a Resilient Yolo Summit in spring 2022.
Formed in 2014, Resilient Yolo is a community-based collaborative with an interest in strengthening the resilience of Yolo County by providing education about adverse childhood experiences. In 1995, a study on ACEs identified a link between ACEs exposure and a higher likelihood of negative health and behavioral outcomes.
The virtual workshop series will concentrate on methods to integrate resilience-building and trauma-informed practices into oneβs personal, work, or family life. Three bi-monthly sessions are planned, and the free workshop series is open to all members of the public.
