A survey has been conducted in Delaware based the Philadelphia Urban ACE Study and the findings will be available in the spring. The Delaware survey included the 10 original ACE questions and added four of the five additional Philadelphia survey questions. The Delaware survey included questions about witnessing violence, experiencing discrimination, feeling unsafe, bullying but not the fifth area of foster care. Click here for summary data from the National Survey of Children’s Health, produced by the Child and Adolescent Health Measurement Initiative (CAMI), on the ACEs experienced by children statewide and in Wilmington. The data from National Survey of Children’s Health does not include data on physical and sexual abuse. Unlike the original ACE Study that asked adults about their childhood experiences, this survey asks parents about their children’s experiences.
Comprehensive ACEs Data for Delaware will be available this spring
