Yes, we can all add up our adverse and positive health care experiences, but in providing medical care we are exposed to triggers and empathic stress. Nonetheless, the healthcare environment has traditionally  suppressed, ignored or discouraged attention to providers' coping or resilience balance. This impairs providing the best care.
