Husnain, 8, was trapped in the mosque by the religious teacher, and the matter was reported to Children Lifeline Trust by a citizen residing on the same street as the mosque.
During the investigation, it was determined that the child had followed his elder brother to the mosque to offer the Friday prayer, and when the Friday prayer was completed, the religious teacher caught him and
handed him some chocolates, so he could stay in the mosque and he can try his plan to abuse the 8-year-old boy. Following the attempted maltreatment, the child was afraid and unable to communicate with his mother due to a lack of vocabulary words and he can not explain his mother as what had
happened to him. The mother was pleased when she learned that her son was safe, and she now believes that her son is OK and that nothing has happened to him. She declined to go to the police
station and report the event.
We try to persuade the mother to file a police report against the religious teacher, but she refuses because of the social media and television reporting system as well as in the local society since we cannot guarantee secrecy in police affairs. She has lost faith in the legal system and her daily visits to
the police station. She later stated that the religious teacher deserved to be punished, but the police will not do justice, and the police will request a compromise and settlement so that the issue does not get to
court.
We contacted the mosque's management and distributed brochures in the same region, asking parents to question their children whether they were experiencing the same problem from religious teacher. We also engaged the local community to speak with the mosque's management, and it was later discovered that the religious teacher was habitual, and he frequently tried to build connections with children and use them for his own satisfaction. He was fired from his position immediately
The boy was traumatized, and mental health counseling and rehabilitation were provided to help him recover from any psychological disorders.
Educate parents via local health workers. Specifically, polio health workers since they deliver polio vaccines to children door to door and may assist parents and tell them about the CSA.
Raising CSA awareness.
Only those close to the child can be trusted. Mothers can take an important role in CSA education for their children. Local groups and schools should contact health specialists to organize programs using cartoon films, for example. Local health workers can change the environment by spreading CSA
awareness door to door.
