Help strengthen the capacity of faith-based organizations to minimize and address trauma in your community. Most faith-based organizations have relationships with families and a desire to improve the well-being of children and youth, but many feel poorly equipped (and sometimes poorly educated) in how to understand, prevent, and address toxic stress and childhood trauma.
The TraumaWise Ministry Summit on May 20-22 features 18 sessions (6 each day, viewable on demand during that 24-hour period). This is a no-cost event, and each speaker is sharing valuable free resources to help equip people in ministries to better understand, reduce and address ACEs and other Trauma.
Explore the excellent speakers and presentations on the TraumaWise Ministry Summit website,
Some of the sessions are ideal for ministry leaders and staff while others are ideal for members who might volunteer in a ministry focused on preventing trauma, understanding trauma-informed practices, or helping with healing.
I'll be sharing a presentation on key elements of strategies that can be done at the level of an individual faith community or in a broader community context. The session I'll be doing also introduces the ACEs and Resilience Resource Commons for Communities (ARRCC) and an eLearning Course on Community Strategy Engagement.
I hope you can participate and invite others to join you.
Peace,
Bill Barberg
