We invite you to visit our site www.thecompanionshipmovemet.org to learn more about the Companionship Movement, relational response to isolation and distress, and support healing and recovery through the community. The Companionship movement assists in developing faith and spiritual groups and communities' capacity to support recovery and wellness while growing their ability to share emotional healing journeys.
The Companionship Training, a 4 hour in-person and virtual training, is the companionship movement's anchor training. Through this training, persons learn how as Companions, we act on our concern for another person offering the encouragement of five basic spiritual practices: hospitality, neighboring, journeying side-by-side, listening, and accompaniment. We practice companionship by walking alongside someone, sitting on a park bench, talking at a meal program or in a shelter, welcoming a person to our house of worship, or visiting together in the hospital.
The Companionship Movement is administered by Pathways to Promise to learn more about P2P. Please visit our website at www.pathways2promise.org.
